Topics ranged from Hughes upgrades of JUPITER™ System gateways in Russia, to the company’s expansion into new global markets, to its work as the exclusive gateway provider for the OneWeb Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellation.

“Our annual technology summit has become the must-attend event of the industry, attracting leadership from top-tier telecom service providers across the region,” said Konstantin Lanin, head of the Hughes office in Moscow. “This year, we highlighted the upgrade of our JUPITER™ System gateways in Dubna and Khabarovsk, advancing our technology to enable the best possible performance and efficiency for our customers in implementing satellite broadband solutions using the RSCC AM5 and AM6 satellites.”

Always a highlight of the seminar, a panel of regional industry leaders discussed the state of the satellite industry and their perspectives on how Hughes technologies and services help them achieve business goals.

“For more than two decades, this technology summit has showcased the ways that Hughes is helping to connect the unconnected and power government and enterprise networks throughout the Russia and CIS countries,” said Dave Rehbehn, vice president of marketing, International Division, Hughes. “This remains an important region of focus for Hughes as we continue to expand globally, powering a connected future.”
