Paul Gaske

Chief Operating Officer

Paul Gaske serves as Chief Operating Officer of Hughes with responsibility for all revenue-generating activities across the organization worldwide. Previously, Paul led the North America division at Hughes, including Hughesnet®, the company’s flagship satellite internet service for consumers and small businesses; enterprise managed services; the government and military systems division; and the company’s manufacturing business. 

Paul joined Hughes in 1977 as a digital design engineer and has held a variety of engineering, marketing, and business management positions. Beginning in 1996, Paul led the launch and subsequent growth of the Hughes satellite internet service to its success today.  

Paul earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University. A member of Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Phi, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE), Paul holds numerous patents in satellite communications and broadband networking. He was named the University of Maryland Clark School of Engineering “Distinguished Engineering Alumnus” in 2012. Paul was inducted into the Space & Satellite Professionals International Hall of Fame in 2020 and named an Inspiring Leader by Inspiring Workplaces in 2021.

Ramesh Ramaswamy Headshot

Ramesh Ramaswamy

EVP & General Manager International Division

Ramesh Ramaswamy, SVP & General Manager of the International Division at Hughes, leads the organization that provides satellite broadband equipment and services for network operators, enterprises, and consumers outside the United States both directly and through subsidiaries in Europe, India, and Brazil. 

Ramesh has held various positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, operations, marketing, and sales. Prior to his current position, he was senior vice president of international sales and marketing.

Ramesh earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Madras in India and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas, Arlington.

Michelle Pearre Headshot

Michelle Pearre

Senior Vice President Human Resources & Administration

Michelle Pearre serves as senior vice president of human resources and administration for EchoStar Corporation and its subsidiary, Hughes Network Systems, LLC. With a genuine passion for cultivating a rewarding employee experience and attractive company culture, Michelle leads a global team of human resource professionals supporting more than 2,000 employees and contractors in 15 countries. A member of the strategic leadership team, Michelle collaborates closely with EchoStar and Hughes executives to align human capital to achieve the company’s goals. Under her leadership, EchoStar and Hughes have been recognized repeatedly by the Alliance for Workplace Excellence, as well as Cigna Healthcare, for workplace quality, health and wellness, and diversity.  

With over 25 years at Hughes, Michelle has taken on roles in all aspects of human resources with increasing leadership and responsibilities. Prior to joining Hughes, she worked at Sallie Mae as a compensation supervisor.

Michelle earned a Bachelor of Science from Barton College and is a member of Chief, a private network for women in senior leadership positions.

George Choquette Headshot

George Choquette

Senior Vice President, Engineering

George Choquette, senior vice president of engineering at Hughes, leads the company’s engineering and technology organization. With over 40 years of industry experience, George has held a variety of development and project leadership positions throughout his career.

George is a member of the IEEE and has served as a reviewer for the ICSCC. His article, “Combining GEO Satellite and Wireless Transports into a Low Latency Internet Service,” was published in the February 2023 Microwave Journal. He also contributed to the “Hughes Broadband Satellite Systems and Technologies” section within the book “Recent Successful Satellite Systems: Visions of the Future,” published in 2017. George holds approximately 40 US patents.

George earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and a Master of Business Administration from The George Washington University.

Hossein Memarsadeghi

SVP & General Manager North America Consumer Division

Hossein Memarsadeghi, SVP & General Manager of the North America Consumer Division at Hughes, leads the consumer business operations, people, and performance. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring the successful growth, operation, and P&L for Hughesnet® satellite internet.

Since joining Hughes as an intern in 1993, Hossein has held various positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, launch management, program management, service delivery, and business management.

Hossein earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Maryland, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland.

Dan Rasmussen Headshot

Dan Rasmussen

SVP & General Manager North America Enterprise Division

Dan Rasmussen, SVP & General Manager of the North America Enterprise Division at Hughes, leads the organization that supports large enterprise, small business, government, and aviation customers. He oversees the teams responsible for sales, marketing, product management, solution delivery, business systems, media product engineering and program management. Dan also works closely with the Hughes international teams in aligning the Hughes Global Managed Services product portfolio.

Since joining Hughes as a sales engineer in 1996, Dan has held various positions of increasing responsibility throughout the enterprise division. Under his leadership, the solution portfolio has grown from just satellite connectivity to include network security and management services across wireline, wireless and satellite transports.

Dan earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Jeff Boggs Headshot

Jeff Boggs

Senior Vice President, Finance

Jeff Boggs, senior vice president at Hughes, leads all financial matters for the company with primary responsibility for profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash performance across global operations. Prior to assuming his current role, he led finance for the North America division, which includes Hughesnet®, the company’s flagship satellite internet service. 

Jeff built his over 35-year career in the satellite communication industry starting at Hughes Space and Communications Company, now Boeing Satellite Systems, in El Segundo, California, and grew with the company as it evolved to Hughes Network Systems. He has worked across multiple financial functions, such as satellite manufacturing, procurement, government programs, and international geostationary mobile system sales, as well as assignments outside of finance, including satellite system program management.  
 
Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arizona.
