“Wow! Great job everyone! This is a big deal for us on so many fronts. It was great to see how the team came up with a great plan, settled into a rhythm and made this happen. Who would have thought 700+ store networks during the business day without any impact to the stores. Amazing!”

Designing, deploying, and supporting a network requires strong engagement, coordination, and partnership with customers. Implementing WAN connectivity from multiple vendors, augmented with a resilient edge network, while maintaining a near zero impact to locations can be challenging and intensive. Adding to this complexity is the need to design a highly secure network with increasing focus on resilience. Depending on the size and industry, each business has its own unique operational requirements. Each has specific operational hours, regulatory guidelines, and in some cases, unique “do not impact” hours. Ensuring compliance adds yet another layer of complexity. This requires a partner with agility and flexibility.
These are just a few of the factors that make network implementation a highly technical and complex task, demanding expertise, meticulous planning, and strong project management.
In our previous blog, we highlighted the advantages of our flagship Hughes Concierge program, which provides a tailored experience rooted in a deep understanding of our customers’ operational goals, business strategies, company culture, competitive landscape, and growth projections. I stressed the importance of businesses demonstrating resilience and taking proactive measures to keep their networks running at peak performance to stay competitive.
Today, we'd like to focus on three key components of our service delivery process: Network Connectivity, Implementation, and Day 2 Support.
Flexible Network Connectivity Options
Implementing a new network often requires transitioning from an existing network. Managing this change with minimal impact to the business requires precision and adaptability. A customer may have new locations that need immediate connectivity or a network that cannot be transitioned due to costly early termination fees. Hughes provides multiple options to address these needs.
Through our extensive partnerships with over 800 industry-leading network providers, Hughes offers our customers flexible options for WAN network connectivity. These partnerships allow us to deliver a range of solutions, enabling customers to transition to new services cost-effectively while ensuring a seamless, uninterrupted user experience.
Working with our customers through a letter of authorization or transfer of ownership, Hughes serves as their single point of contact, removing the challenges and time-consuming aspects of managing multiple vendors. Our technical expertise enhances efficiency by quickly resolving transport issues and minimizing delays, taking on the responsibility of network management and accelerating issue resolution for our customers.
This level of flexibility and choice enables our customers to rely on a single vendor for all network needs, allowing them to focus on business goals with the confidence that their network connectivity aligns with their broader strategy.
Collaborative Implementation
During implementation, the Hughes Customer Account team collaborates closely with customers to ensure a smooth installation and transition of network equipment, making it fully operational and delivering a seamless, hassle-free experience for all users.
Our unique Implementation Administration (IA) Program offers the discipline, process, and management required for successful large-scale rollouts. Hughes takes the complexity off our customers' shoulders by managing the entire project while keeping them informed of any issues and their appropriate corrective action. We believe open communication is key to success, and the IA Program’s communication, combined with our reporting, provides complete transparency for our customers.
Successful Day 2 Support
On Day 2, customers can trust that their network is being closely monitored and managed by Hughes with customized plans uniquely tailored to meet their business needs.
Knowing that every business is unique, Hughes offers various support options, including Proactive Standard, Premium, and Platinum support plans. Our geographically redundant Enterprise Support Center is equipped with skilled technical support staff and advanced technology to effectively manage these support models. The Hughes Customer Account team manages, monitors, and maintains the customer’s network and works closely with the customer during site visit and sign off procedures. This involves developing critical rules of engagement and continued follow-up to fine-tune operational procedures.
Our approach is to build a trusted partnership with our customers, fully understanding how they operate, and adjusting our processes to be in alignment with their business. In this way, Hughes customers can focus on their business instead of worrying about their network.
Discover the Financial and Operational Advantages of Working with a Global Leader
Hughes has been a global leader in network management and deployment for decades. Our customers have seen both financial and operational gains, resulting in higher customer satisfaction, improved IT efficiencies, and substantial reductions in network outage incidents and operational downtime.
For franchises and small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs), who often have limited in-house IT resources and expertise, partnering with a trusted managed network service provider like Hughes can offer flexible, personalized solutions to meet their needs.
Regardless of industry and special operations, if you are looking for a partner to listen, collaborate, design, and deliver your network solutions, Hughes is your answer. We take pride in meeting and exceeding our customer expectations during onboarding and implementation and ensuring those high standards continue through our support services.
