Bridging the Broadband Gap

The Space & Satellite Professionals International (SSPI) association is founded on connecting people across the space and satellite industry and promoting the value of their companies and technologies. They host events to bring together satellite professionals from around the world, recognize promising and established leaders shaping the industry and run a series of campaigns to promote awareness of the indispensable contributions of satellite.

The latest topic campaign, Bridging the Broadband Gap, underwritten by Hughes, explores the many ways that satellite is uniquely positioned to help close the digital divide. Through a variety of content platforms and over the course of a few weeks, SSPI dives into the expanding role of satellite broadband in delivering connectivity to the millions who live beyond the reach of other internet options.

  • The first podcast episode of the campaign features two Hughes executives, Randy Anders, VP of North American Sales, and Vaibhav Magow, VP International. Their dynamic conversation with Lou Zacharilla delves into global trends in satellite broadband, enterprise connectivity, the changing workforce and so much more. Subsequent episodes of the Better Satellite World podcast dive deeper into how satellite can help bridge the digital divide.
  • A series of infographics demonstrates how satellite can connect the unconnected, support mobile-first areas and shrink regional disparities.
  • The newest Better Satellite World video, Path to the Good Life, highlights how satellite provides students around the world with critical connectivity in order to access to educational materials.

Keep an eye on the SSPI campaign page as more content becomes available to discover all the ways satellite is poised to Bridge the Broadband Gap.
