Shipments in excess of 500 pounds or 227 Kg need authorization to ship via Air.

 

Ex Works or FCA Shipments

  • Suppliers must specify Expeditors International as the Hughes Broker.
  • The supplier must contact the local office of the appropriate forwarder at least 5 working days prior to shipment.
  • Pieces, weight, number of pallets or crates, and the cube of the shipment must be given.
  • All required documents must be given to the appropriate forwarder at the time of pick up.
  • Copies of the commercial Invoice, Packing list and AWB or Ocean B/L must be faxed immediately upon shipment to Hughes Import Operations HNSImports@hughes.com.

DDP Shipments: The supplier has the responsibility to make the shipment, provide for U.S. customs clearance and deliver the material, Duty Paid, in accordance with the terms of the HNS P.O. HNS will not accept any C.O.D. charges connected with DDP shipments.
