Hughes to Offer Telecommunications Services and Solutions to Federal Agencies through Level 3 Communications GSA EIS Contract

As a partner to Level 3, Hughes will provide full suite of HughesON™ Solutions to help agencies transform their legacy networks

Germantown, MD., October 17, 2017Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HUGHES), a leading provider of managed network services, announced that its telecommunications products and services will be offered under the General Service Administration’s (GSA) Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) contract through the award to Level 3 Communications. As a sub-contractor to Level 3, Hughes is offering the comprehensive suite of HughesON™ Managed Network Services for multi-site agencies and departments.

The portfolio of HughesON managed services can help agencies meet modernization challenges head-on with substantial benefits such as cloud readiness and high network and application performance and availability. By introducing managed broadband in conjunction with existing MPLS infrastructure, agencies can realize immediate benefits in the form of a “hybrid” wide area network (WAN). HughesON includes a compelling managed SD-WAN solution with innovative broadband optimization tools known as ActiveTechnologies™.

EIS is a 15-year comprehensive solution-based vehicle designed to address all aspects of federal agency information technology telecommunications and infrastructure requirements. It is the first major contract to be implemented under the GSA Network Services 2020 (NS2020) strategy.
