Learnings and Networking at this Year’s Hughes User Group Conference
Spring has sprung and the 2024 Hughes User Group (HUG) Conference convened in northern Virginia, bringing together industry experts from nine countries and 25 states to discuss the latest innovations in connectivity and managed network services. We welcomed attendees from major oil and gas companies, retailers, restaurants, healthcare, and more for two days of learning and networking. Attendees also took a tour of our new manufacturing facility in Germantown, MD. At the event, experts shared insights on Hughes Managed Wireless and Managed LEO, as well as our comprehensive suite of digital signage and cybersecurity solutions.
“Providing continuous innovation in managed services is our priority,” said Mike Tippets, vice president marketing and communications, Hughes. “The HUG Conference allows us to meet with our customers to present our latest advancements in managed connectivity, digital signage, and cybersecurity and receive their feedback.”
During the event, Hughes technologists discussed the Hughes Managed Wireless solution with attendees, which provides enterprises with connectivity options and a robust network infrastructure to run their businesses with secure and reliable technology. The solution is turnkey, delivering excellent employee and customer experiences with 24/7 customer support and maintenance options. Customers can utilize 5G as both primary and backup transports, allowing them to utilize different carriers across both and optimize their connectivity needs based on location. Our wireless solution also enables seamless failover, providing resilient connectivity.
Conference attendees learned how they can optimize network performance and security objectives by partnering with Hughes as a managed security services provider. With cloud-based and edge-based security, the Hughes system deploys security measures precisely where vulnerabilities are most prevalent. Our suite of cybersecurity services operates under a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) framework while providing capabilities such as Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Network Detection and Response (NDR), and ransomware and zero-day prevention, among other offerings.
The benefits of Hughes Managed LEO service, our reliable, low-latency, enterprise-grade global broadband service, were also discussed. The flat panel antenna technology for Eutelsat OneWeb low Earth orbit (LEO) applications is the epitome of engineering feats achieved by the Hughes team and was available for attendees to view in our on-site demo room.
Each year, we look forward to meeting with our customers and sharing these experiences. A big thank you to everyone who attended and who supported our event this year.
