Comments to Focus on How Managed Broadband Services Can Help Rural State Agencies Achieve Significant Cost Savings


Germantown, MD―Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HUGHES), the global leader in broadband satellite solutions and services, today announced that Tony Bardo, assistant vice president for Government Solutions, will participate as a panelist at the National Association of State Technology Directors’ (NASTD) 37th Annual Conference & Technology Showcase, Attaining Excellence through Collaboration.

The panel, “Managed Services: Practical Strategies for Success,” is comprised of representatives from industry and moderated by a state government executive. Mr. Bardo’s comments will address how a managed broadband approach to Internet connectivity can provide rural agencies with up to three times the broadband speed, at less than half the cost than the traditional T1 line.
