Anshu Vij<\/h4>\n

Managing Director<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anshu Vij is the Managing Director of Hughes Network Systems Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) organisation, a wholly owned subsidiary of EchoStar Corporation. Anshu has full Profit and Loss responsibilities, including day-to-day management of the company, sales, operations, finance, legal and HR functions. He spearheads the company\u2019s drive to maximise its strengths in market-leading technologies and quality of service support within existing and emerging EMEA markets with key accounts such as the UK National Lottery, BP and Shell. Alongside these responsibilities, Anshu is also involved in the deployment of EchoStar Mobile, which is a provider of S-Band coverage across Europe using the company\u2019s EchoStar-21 satellite.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining Hughes EMEA, Anshu spent seven years with Space42\u2019s Commercial business in Abu Dhabi, formerly known as Yahsat.\u00a0 In this capacity, he started as CFO of YahClick, a joint venture between Hughes and Yahsat, where he helped lead the company to become the leading provider of high-speed satellite broadband services to consumers, small and medium enterprises throughout Africa, the Middle East, and SW Asia.\u00a0 During his tenure, his role expanded to serving as COO and CFO of the Space42 Commercial business, where he was overseeing all financial aspects of the YahClick and Thuraya business segments, as well as managing day-to-day business operations, driving growth across the company\u2019s data and mobility solutions portfolio.<\/p>\n

Anshu has a strong, long-term track record in the satellite communications industry, having also led Hughes International Finance organisation and having worked at Alcatel\u2019s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite project, Skybridge LP.\u00a0 He holds a master\u2019s degree in business administration from American University in Washington, D.C., and a bachelor\u2019s degree in finance and international business from the University of Maryland at College Park.<\/p>\n

Michael Dromnitzki<\/h4>\n

Vice President of Network Operations<\/strong><\/p>\n

Michael Dromnitzki is Vice President Network Operations of Hughes Network Systems Europe, the sales and operating organisation for the European market of Hughes Network Systems, LLC. He has overall responsibility for the European Network Operations Centre, Hub and Network Engineering and the internal IT.<\/p>\n

Michael joined Hughes Europe in 1997, initially as Network Management Centre Operator. Previously, he worked for the Federal Defence Force in Germany, bringing with him 12 years\u2019 specialist telecommunications experience.<\/p>\n

Hannah Evans<\/h4>\n

Head of Legal for Hughes Network Systems Europe and EchoStar<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hannah joins us after more than four years at CityFibre Limited in Telecoms, where she worked on the rollout of the FTTP gigabit network infrastructure throughout England as part of a \u00a34bn investment plan.<\/p>\n

Prior to this, Hannah held a secondee position at Network Rail, during her time at the private law firm Dentons LLP. Hannah trained at a city law firm before moving to an in-house role and is also a qualified Notary Public.<\/p>\n

Deborah Biggs<\/h4>\n

Head of Human Resources<\/strong><\/p>\n

Deborah Biggs is Head of Human Resources for Hughes Europe. Within this role, Deborah focuses on supporting the operations in the UK, Germany and Italy, and oversees HR-related aspects for the other European Echostar entities. Whilst working as a member of the Senior Management team she defines HR strategy and policy to meet the objectives of the business.<\/p>\n

Having been a member of the Hughes family for more than twenty years, she has overseen many wide-ranging and varied activities, including supporting merger and acquisition activity within Europe, and outside region where required, including TUPE, harmonising terms, and establishing new entities, planning and executing company restructuring and resourcing plans, including manpower-planning, employee resourcing and recruitment, career and succession-planning, ‘right-skilling’ and retention.<\/p>\n

As a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), she is a generalist with more than twenty years experience in Human Resources in the telecommunications, hi-tech and IT sectors within the UK and Europe.<\/p>\n

Deborah holds a degree in English from University College London and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialism in International Business.<\/p>\n

Troy Truman<\/h4>\n

Head of Military, Defence and Government<\/strong><\/p>\n

Troy is Head of Defence and Government at Hughes Network Systems Europe and leads the European Defence and Government Systems business activities.\u00a0He is currently responsible for the go-to-market strategy, infrastructure investment, and sales operations of the new defence and government business. Troy joined Hughes Europe in January 2024.<\/p>\n

Troy has over ten years of international defence & government industry experience gained from senior sales and strategy roles in OEMs, system integrators, consultancy services, and component providers. He has a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in US private equity and large international defence corporations. He has worked in various product areas and solutions, including communications, avionics, and, most recently, unmanned systems.<\/p>\n

Before his industry career, Troy served as a Communications Specialist in the Royal Navy.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n
