Advanced Bandwidth Management

The HX System treats the total outbound and inbound bandwidth as a “pool” from which bandwidth can be dynamically assigned as needed—based on the service profile per terminal. Instead of dedicating capacity to an individual remote terminal the HX System guarantees that when a terminal needs bandwidth it will be allocated immediately to that terminal. This allows an operator the flexibility to reuse idle bandwidth. In this manner the HX System becomes an “IP cloud” in the sky.

  • Service profiles are set per remote—not per inroute or network
  • Outbound and Inbound service profiles can be configured independently
  • One Inroute Group can support any or all of the various service profiles
