SPACEWAY 3, delivering leading-edge onboard packet switching, will be launched by Arianespace, the leader in international commercial launch services. The Ariane 5 heavy launcher will launch SPACEWAY 3 into geosynchronous transfer orbit from the Guiana Space Center in Kourou, French Guiana.

Operating in the globally-assigned Ka-band spectrum, the SPACEWAY 3 satellite will deliver a wide range of new highspeed communications services for IP data and multimedia applications to North American enterprise, consumer, and government customers. The launch, which will usher in a new era in satellite communications, is projected for the second half of 2007.
